Equator’s Edge Wildlife Center distinguishes itself as an educational and conservation center rather than a traditional zoo, non-profit, or sanctuary. Unlike sanctuaries, which are prohibited from breeding animals, we focus on kangaroo conservation of various species through breeding programs.
Currently, we specialize in over six different species of kangaroos and wallabies, representing one of the largest varieties of marsupials available in the United States, and the only location in Colorado to showcase such a diverse range. Our animals are meticulously selected to enhance the genetic diversity of each species, ensuring that we provide high-quality specimens to zoos and conservation centers nationwide.
Visitors to our center can expect to gain valuable insights into educational and conservation initiatives pertaining to wildlife from around the globe. Every visit to Equator’s Edge is designed to ignite curiosity and compassion. Through educational programs, hands-on encounters, and interactive learning, guests gain a deeper understanding of how all life is connected. From watching a joey take its first hop to learning about global conservation efforts, every experience brings people closer to the natural world.
